There is nothing quite like the first day of the year. There's a quiet anticipation about the days to follow. It's a good day to take a walk. It's even better when you can gather with a gaggle of folks to walk with you. Top left to right- Hank, Michael, Maxine, and Dan. Bottom left to right- Ella, Kathryn, Cynthia, and yours truly.

We all took a walk back on the Pierzala land and saw many fine winter things- falling water, deer haunts, mud, and stone faces.

We had to good fortune to ring in the new year with several fine folks, including Cynthia, Ella, and Hank. Ella seems to feel bashful about this rock she's discovered.
