I think this photo captures the idea of being "fat and happy."

My sister-in-law at Thanksgiving. She lives in Baltimore and we only get to see her on holidays, so it's good to photograph her when we can.

A Day of Thanks

Well, it's official- I passed my 90 day evaluation period at my new job, so let us be thankful for that! In reflecting on my work in the past 90 days I realized that I have been on the road for 23 of the past 90 days- and boy do I feel like it too. My house is a wreck (partially due to my absence and partially due to the fact that we are gutting out bathroom). My dissertation is sitting on a lonely shelf waiting for attention. My animals look at me scornfully, communicating their displeasure with this arrangement. Hopefully, my travels will slow down a bit in the new year.

Despite the travails of travel, each opportunity to travel with work has been a great experience. I have met a ton of new people and seen been reminded of the awesome potential that resides in all of us.
